Which Sound Level Meter?

Most of the professional grade sound level meters that we offer will fit in either the lightweight or the heavy duty outdoor kit. The correct meter must be chosen for your particular application and budget. The meter that satisfies most applications, the CR811C, is also the most cost effective one.

The most common options are shown below.

CR811C

This meter satisfies most environmental noise surveys. It can be set to make automatically repeating timed measurements (e.g. repeated 15-minute measurements). Provides many parameters including Leq, Ln, Lmax along with the 1-second time history to provide a graph of the noise levels over time.

CR831C

Identical to the CR811C described above but fitter with serial octave and 1/3 octave band filters. This meter is ideal for environmental surveys when you need to occasionally make an octave or 1/3 octave band measurement.

Pulsar 33

This meter is fitted with real-time octave and 1/3 octave band filters and is for those applications that demand the regular analysis of the frequency content of the noise.
