Wireless Sound Level Meter and Data Logging Controller
The SoundEarPro system consists of a number of Samplers and
a central Controller.
Samplers
The Samplers are
wireless sound level meters that take the LAeq and the LCPeak
every second and transmit it back to the Controller.
They meet the IEC 61672 standard to Class
2 and the ANSI
S1.4 Standard to Type
2.
The distance that the Sampler can communicate
back to the Controller over depends on the environment.
In a clear area the communication distance can be up to
100m. In a very poor environment it can be less than 10m.
However, the samplers can be "daisy chained",
allowing a much greater area to be covered. |
All the Sampler needs is AC power and somewhere to
be mounted.
Controller
The Controller collects the LAeq and LCPeak every
second from each of the Samplers and stores them
on its internal drive. Once running, the Controller does
not need to remain connected to a computer.
One Controller can handle up to ten Samplers and
in some circumstances more.
Like the Samplers, the Controller just
needs power. It should be connected to a computer's USB port
to initially set it running and whenever you want to view
live sound levels or download the measurements. |

Mounting
The SoundEarPro wireless sound level meters can be mounted
on a tripod or for a more permanent installation they can
be fixed to a wall or other surface using the mounts supplied
(shown on the left). |
