The noise meter sits on a desk, clearly showing the surrounding
noise levels and allowing you to make decisions based on facts rather
just perception. The VisioBel shows the noise level in dB on its
digital display and also shows it as a bar, giving an instant indication
of whether the levels are low or and which way they are changing.

One of the biggest problems when monitoring and controlling the noise
levels in an office or similar environment is that the apparent "loudness"
of the noise depends on a person's perception. This is made more difficult
by the fact that a persons ears are more sensitive at the start of the
day but after a few hours in a noisy office they are much less sensitive.
Deciding by ear whether the levels are too high as the day goes on gets
more difficult. The VisioBel desk noise display solves this problem by
displaying the measured noise level.
