Industrial Noise Monitoring System
If you have an industrial operation that is based in an
area where industrial and residential buildings are mixed,
we have a number of systems that take the hard work and
uncertainty out of noise monitoring and complaint handling.
- For Mixed residential and industrial areas
- Monitor noise and answer complaints
- Generate concise reports of noise events
- Short and long term noise monitoring systems
- Continuous storage of noise measurements

Noise Monitoring - Mixed Residential and Industrial
Our fixed and portable noise monitoring systems
can accurately measure the noise levels on a continuous basis,
storing the sound levels, noise events and results of statistical
analysis on a central computer or network.
One
or more noise monitors can be installed around the site, usually
on the boundary, and these connect back to the computer using one
of the many methods available - direct cabling, phone line, GSM
modem, radio modem, network link. Portable monitors can be used
if they need to be relocated on a regular basis. A mix of fixed
and portable monitors can be used on the same system.
Complaint Handling
The noise measurements are stored in both the noise monitor and
on the central computer. If a complaint is received, the operator
can quickly check through the data and generate reports that can
be used in responding to the complaint.
Hopefully this does not have to be done too often.
Historical Data and Noise Planning
All measurements are kept on the central computer, so the noisiest
periods can easily be assessed and suitable controls put in place.
If there is a need to reduce noise emissions then graphs of the
sound level over long periods of time are essential. Evidence of
compliance may also be needed to meet planning approval. All equipment
is of the correct grade and class for this.
Integration to Existing Systems - SCADA, 4-20mA If you have an existing system (e.g. SCADA), we can offer the NoiseSensor Class
1 microphone system, which offers the industry standard 4-20mA
output. These microphones can be mounted inside or outside and
be connected via very long cable lengths to your system. Integrating
into a SCADA or similar system and presentation of the noise levels
is then carried out by your staff. |
