New doseBadge Noise Dosimeter - Newsletter May 2007The CR110A doseBadge Noise Dosimeter has had some new features added to make this already excellent noise dosimeter even more useful when assessing a worker's exposure to high noise levels.
Dual Channel Noise DosimeterThe existing doseBadge Noise Dosimeter could easily be configured to measure with different exchange rates, thresholds, criterion level and criterion time. However, it could only measure using one configuration at a time. The new doseBadge now has two channels. The second is set to make measurements with the common ISO 3dB. The first channel can be configured to have different settings, covering standards and regulations such as OSHA (5dB, Slow), MSHA and AICHE. Although dual channel is not needed for all applications (such as MSHA), it is always good to know that the doseBadge is also recording the ISO 3dB values, as these are expected to take over from the 5dB at some time in the future. As well as storing the two channels mentioned above, the doseBadge also stores the C weighted Max Peak every minute, so you can assess the worker's exposure to loud banging noise too.
Fast doseBadge ChargerThe new CU110A doseBadge charger will charge a doseBadge from flat in 2½ hours . If the battery is not flat (usually the case) then it will charge in less time. You can also "top up" the charge in a much shorter time, giving the doseBadge a boost before setting it to work. This "top up" was not possible with the previous generation of doseBadge Noise Dosimeter charger. Intrinsically Safe - New ApprovalsThe CR110AIS Intrinsically Safe doseBadge now has additional approvals, including ATEX, EEx, IECEx, MSHA and SABS. For more information on the CR110AIS Intrinsically Safe, or I.S. doseBadge, and its use in hazardous and explosive atmospheres, please visit the Intrinsically Safe doseBadge web page. 2 - 12 Year Warranty
