Noise Dosimeter - Newsletter September 2003
NoiseMeters are pleased to announce a new, lower price option to the
doseBadge Noise Dosimeter range. For those who do not need the Time History
function (see note below) we are now offering the STANDARD Pulsar version
at a lower price.
The PROFESSIONAL Cirrus version has the time history and its price remains
the same and if you need time history then our price is still far lower
than anything else on the market:
NOISE TIME HISTORY - An Explanation
The Professional version of the doseBadge stores the average noise level
every minute. When transferred to the Reader and Computer this gives a
graph of the noise level against time throughout the measurement. This
is very useful as a first quick check that the measurement ran well. Once
downloaded to the computer the software allows more detailed analysis
to be carried out on the time history.
Professional or Standard doseBadge - Which Do I Need?
For most occupational noise measurement guidelines (OSHA, European Noise
at Work, etc.) the Standard version is adequate, storing all the
noise parameters that are actually needed. If you are making quick checks
on workers exposure to noise and will never have time to look at the time
history anyway then this should be the option for you.
The Professional version takes a little longer to download (seconds)
but gives the added comfort of seeing that the measurement looks good.
You can immediately tell whether the dosimeter has been taken off and
purposely left sitting on a noisy machine to give false results. It gives
something extra for the report to give others the same confidence. The
other benefit is the ability analyze the noise levels on a computer, zooming
in on areas of particular interest.
If you need any more information about this noise dosimeter or any other
noise meter then just drop us an email.
