How to Use the doseBadge Noise Dosimeter

It is not obvious when looking at this aluminum cased noise dosimeter that it is very quick and easy to use. doseBadge Noise Dosimeter

There are just three steps to making measurements with the doseBadge noise dosimeter:

  • Check the Calibration
    • Makes sure everything is accurate
  • Start of the Day
    • Mount the doseBadge on the worker
    • Press Run on the Reader
  • End of the Day
    • Stop the measurement
    • Download results on to Reader
    • View the results or transfer to computer
 
 

The Parts

The doseBadge Mounts on the worker's shoulder and measures the noise exposure. With no buttons or display there is no risk of the dosimeter being fiddled with during the day.

doseBadge Reader Reader

The Reader works as an infra-red controller to start and stop measurements. It also contains the Calibrator and displays all the measurement results. Controls any number of doseBadges.

To put some life back into the doseBadges after a day's work. A completely flat doseBadge will recharge in just over 2 hours.

 
 
 

STEP 1 - Check the Calibration

All noise dosimeters should be calibrated before being used.

calibrate the noise dosimeter The doseBadge is plugged into the top of the Reader. Old measurements can be cleared from the doseBadge's memory and then press the Cal button to calibrate it.
 
 
 

STEP 2 - Start of the Day

Mount the doseBadge on the worker's shoulder, point the reader at it and press Run.

The doseBadge can now be left on the worker for the full working day.

 
 
 

STEP 3 - End of the Day

stop the noise dosimeter measurement

Use the Reader to stop the measurement and then remove the doseBadge from the worker.

A second calibration check can be done at this stage.

   

Press the Read button to transfer the measurements to the Reader.

The measurement results can be viewed on the Reader's display or you can download it to the dBLink software.

The doseBadge can be put on charge ready for the next day.
